Start Broadcasting through TikiLIVE Today!

How to Broadcast from TikiLIVE

TikiLIVE is an enterprise social networking solution centered on live and recorded streaming video. To assist you in utilizing the Live Broadcasting capabilities to the fullest I have decided to put together this quick tutorial on the steps required to create, brand and broadcast to your showpage. More blog posts will follow discussing some of the more advanced features in greater detail

1 Registration

To control the content that is published to TikiLIVE one must first register with a unique email address. This is done in three simple steps:

a. Go to http://www.tikilive.com/register
b. Enter in all mandatory fields
-TikiLIVE will confirm that both the username and email address are unique
c. After submitting the applicaiton, you should receive a notice in the form of an email, kindly requesting that your confirm the email address
d. Once the Email address is confirmed you will be forwarded to TikiLIVE and asked to enter your username and password as originally submitted.

Now you are ready to join the TikiLIVE Community!

2. Create a Show

TikiLIVE enables users to have multiple channels, or showpages, to focus their content around a particular brand or theme. To create a showpage please follow the following:

a. Open the “My Shows” tab or you can go streaight there by clicking on My Shows:
b. Enter in a unique showname and click “Create”
c. Upload a show logo enter a description as well as select a category to inform users what to expect from your Live Broadcasts and uploaded VOD’s

Now youre ready to go LIVE!

3. Brand your showpage

Once you create your showpage you you have the ability of uploading your own background images, banners as well as updating the colors displayed. These can be swapped out at any time and updated individually or you can give the page a total makeover and re-brand every element at once with the following procedures:

a. Upload a background image
b. Upload a banner to be displayed along the top of the page, and enter in a website for it to forward the user to
c. Select your the color scheme you would like the page and player to follow by selecting a color for each item.
d. Utilize the Preview Show Page button to view the showpage prior to posting it LIVE
e. Save the updated design

Now your showpage is branded!

4. Broadcaster Selection

TikiLIVE provides the broadcaster with two options for going LIVE, standard browser-based and our High Quality Desktop Broadcaster. To find out if youre computer can support the High Quality Broadcaster please check the following Documentation on Hardware Specifications:

If you choose the HQ Desktop Broadcaster, be sure to download all the plugins that are listed when clicking “Broadcast Now”

5 Go Live

Once you have opened your desired broadcaster simply:

a. Select the video source
b. Set the Bitrate
c. Apply De interlace to increase video quality (adaptive is typically the best)
d. Select Audio Source
e. Click “start broadcast”
f. If desired, start recording to save an archive of the live feed

Now your are Live and ready to interact with your audience!

Broadcasting with Eyepartner’s TikiLIVE HD broadcaster


This is a tutorial showing you how to use the TikiLIVE broadcaster to stream HD video.

1. The first step is to go on www.tikilive.com and create an account.

2. Connect into your account

3. Download the TikiLIVE broadcaster and the additional plugins

In order to install TikiLIVE broadcaster you will need ot have installed the following softwares into your computer:

* Dot NET framework
* Dot NET Hotfix
* DirectX Framework
* Flash Player ActiveX

4. Create a new show and define it’s details

You must create a unique show prior to going live with your broadcast. The steps below will outline how to accomplish this.

After completing the registration process and confirming your email address, you must create a show. You do this by opening the “My Shows” page after Logging In.

5. Connect a video source (video camera, webcam)

6. Connect to the broadcaster using the same username and password

7. Select the video source available and then choose HD from the Encoding option.

8. Click on Start Broadcast and your show will be live on the website.

9. To access the show click on Go to my showpage or click on LIVE SHOWS on the TikiLIVE homepage
