Eyepartner Releases IPTV Middleware

Our TikiLIVE IPTV solution just got a shot of adrenaline with our brand new middleware solution! Traditional Cable/Satellite providers offer subscription packages and now you can too! Follow their lead and create Basic, Plus and Premium packages, or blaze your own path with unique channel offerings of your choice. Our middleware goes one step farther. Not only can you charge for access to your IPTV network, these subscriptions are useful for Set Top Box or Over The Top (OTT) solutions and for mobile device access as well.

The viewer is able to purchase as many of these packages as they wish. This way they get exactly the content they want and you don’t have to worry that they’ll cancel because they don’t like the programming! Our integrated billing and user authentication makes it simple to charge one-time or recurring subscriptions.

Not the owner of the content being broadcasted? No problem! Our accounting tracks the licensing fees that you share with your content producers. Stay ahead of the competition with TikiLIVE middleware!

Key Features
• One-time and subscription-based billing options
• Real-time viewer authentication
• Comprehensive reporting
• 100% control of channel and package plans and Pricing
• Complete solution for IPTV, OTT, and Mobile delivery

The Mystery of Middleware Revealed

As you might have guessed, middleware sits “in the middle” between softwares that may be working on different operating systems. If your IPTV network were a house then middleware would be the plumbing. It runs throughout the entire house and once you have it, you would notice if it were removed!

In the IT industry, middleware is a general term for programming that serves to connect separate and often already existing programs. For your IPTV network, these programs include your network, payment gateway (online merchant), and viewing devices. Through an authentication process viewers are only able to access content if they have paid for it. This payment is tracked throughout the network so access is granted on all devices for which the viewer is approved (online, set top box, mobile).

If you’d like a more technical explanation, middleware consists of a library of functions, and enables a number of applications to page these functions from the common library rather than re-create them for each application. This simplifies integration of future applications that will behave similarly to programs already in place.

Keys to IPTV Success

ORGANIZATION Before jumping into a new venture it’s important to get a few things in order. Proper planning and organization saves time, money and undue stress for both you and your employees. Following these few guidelines should help make your business a success!

1. Have a business plan. Setting up realistic expectations on paper often makes the difference between the success and the failure of a network. Outline the steps to take in order to see the website go from an idea to a live production site. It’s the first step to becoming a happy .com business owner.
2. Find the tools. Today, there are solutions at every price point imaginable. From free (or just a few dollars investment) going up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Cheap is always an attractive option and for some this is actually the best route. If you look at the business as a hobby then it’s important to keep costs down. Serious business owners should plan to investment in their business if they hope to achieve a profitable outcome.
3. Setup the infrastructure. When selecting your solution be sure that it can handle success! As your network increases in popularity, the strain on your system may become evident. Make sure your solution is scalable so expensive upgrades are not needed just as your business is starting to take off.

Eyepartner Releases TikiLIVE IPTV for ROKU Set Top Boxes

MARATHON, FLORIDA, February 5, 2011.

Managing LIVE HD video delivery to set top boxes has been a challenge to media producers, broadcasting networks and corporations worldwide.  Eyepartner has developed a low cost iPTV middleware that delivers HD Live, VOD, and Channel Lineups directly to the affordable ROKU set top box.   TikiLIVE makes it easy for anyone to setup a channel and broadcast their stream in full HD, with a simple to use click-and-go interface.  The user can quickly arrange a playlist of pre-recorded video as well as offer it on a pay per view basis.

The TikiLIVE iPTV platform, based on a patent pending streaming technology, requires no proprietary hardware or advanced training to use.   This solution was designed to easily broadcast and deliver LIVE streaming, VODs, and channel lineups in HD “over the top” directly to the ROKU set top boxes as well as to your streaming sites simultaneously. The TikiLIVE platform is to be made available through direct marketing along with various OEM channel partners, distributors.

“Professionals, movie makers, broadcasters and enthusiast alike now have the ability to schedule content and broadcast their HD media directly into the living rooms of their audience through the ROKU set top box; quickly, easily and without purchasing proprietary hardware” as quoted by Tim Green, President of Eyepartner.

So, how does it work?  Eyepartner offers a simple application with an easy to use dashboard that can be accessed from any Web Browser.   The user is offered live broadcasting tools, VOD uploading capabilities to arrange playlists and publish channel lineups.  All media is conveniently hosted and streamed from Eyepartner central server farms.  The user may decide to publish a combination of LIVE, VOD or channel lineups.    The user may set the content as free or on a pay per view basis.  The stream is instantly streamed to a channel onto the ROKU set top box.

Eyepartner offers simple “how-to” tutorials that walk the user through the broadcasting process with simple step-by-step instructions.   For more information on how this works, users may sign up www.tikilive.com for a free trial run of the TikiLIVE platform.
